As you might be able to tell, I’m new to this blogging business but I sure like it, almost as much as I like prints and linocutting.
So you will not be a bit surprised to learn that there are people in the world who do this sort of thing much better. One of my favourites is Draw Cut Ink Press (have a look here).
The people there kindly liked a few of my prints on instagram but I only recently started investigating their site. And wowser it’s a belter!
It’s not just the standard “here’s my work!” stuff either, as there’s also a wealth of material from other artists, recommendations, inspirations and more, justifying many, many repeat visits.
In the manifesto page, the founder explains that “Draw Cut Ink Press will encourage creativity and promote linocut, block and relief printing to anyone who wants to pick up the tools and start carving.” And you cannot say fairer than that.
It’s basically what I hope my little blog might ape one day. If I’m lucky.
